How Does Filtering Work?
Dataride by Implex gives you enterprise grade spam filtering that is easy-to-use
and keeps you in control. Most technologies today do not employ
more than two filtering technologies, which limits their effectiveness.
All mail is processed through five spam filters (most of our competitors
use only two). Valid email passes directly through and to the
email box. Suspect messages are placed into a quarantine that
you can view. This ensures that you have visibility to all your
email - especially in the event that a message is mistakenly identified
as spam.

Spam Quarantine and Management Functionality
The service is easy to use. It proactively notifies you of potential
spam via email. This is a sample of the email spam quarantine
report. You and your employees may:
- Delete, view, release quarantined messages,
- Always allow (white list) or always deny (black list) sender
addresses or domains that are listed in the delivered report
directly through the message.
- Safely view a message by simply clicking on the Subject.
- Move a message to your Inbox, by clicking the "Release"
link. Release a message and add the sender to your Allowed
Senders List, by clicking the "Allow" link.
- Delete the message and add the sender to your Denied Senders
List, by clicking the "Deny" link.
- To delete all of the messages, click the "Delete All"
link at the bottom of the Spam Summary Report.
Quarantined email is stored for seven days.

Through the email quarantine report, you and your employees may
also configure the spam service to:
- Determine the frequency which you want to receive the email
report
- "Opt-out" of spam filtering
- Set a password to directly login to the Email Defense Portal
- Indicate if you want to receive all messages in your quarantine
report or only new ones.
You can easily manage your Allow/Deny Senders list by clicking
on The Allow/Deny links.

Allow/Deny Sender Screen
The Allow/Deny list provides you with additional control over
the service. Email addresses on the allow list will not be filtered
for spam - like mailing list subscriptions. Entries on the deny
list will be refused and not delivered.
You may edit your Allow/Deny lists at any time.

Email Defense Portal For Administrators
An administrator has complete control of the domain's Email Defense
Service through the Email Defense Portal (http://portal1.emaildefenseservice.com).
This ensures that you are able to easily customize the service
to fit your needs. The Portal is easy to use, yet powerful, making
it ideal for IT administrators or support staff. The following
is a sample of the available features:
- View and manage all quarantine areas (including spam and virus)
- Configure email filtering policies (e.g., deny delivery or
quarantine spam, strip or quarantine viruses.)
- View mail traffic reports and an audit trail of system changes
- Edit employee settings on behalf of employee
- Edit the mail servers to which filtered mail is delivered
